Mechagon Hard Mode: What Changes
Mechagon hard mode is the Mythic-flagged version of the same eight-boss dungeon, and it is the one that matters for the achievements and the better drops. Normal mode is forgiving. Hard mode is not, because the bosses hit harder and several mechanics punish a single mistake with a wipe.
Plan for roughly 60 to 90 minutes with a coordinated group, a bit longer if the tank is still learning the pulls.
Hardmode Mechagon: Boss Order and Tricky Fights
The dungeon is split into two wings, Junkyard and Workshop, and you can clear them in either order. Most groups do the Junkyard first because its trash is easier to pull in larger chunks.
Where groups usually wipe
King Gobbamak and Gunker are forgiving once the group understands the positioning. The Omega Mechagon fight at the end of the Workshop wing is where runs fall apart, mostly because players ignore the adds and the energy bars. Mechagon hard mode also asks for a healer who can handle sudden burst damage.

The big prize is the Mechagon Mechanostrider-style drops tied to specific bosses, plus the rare Blue Mechanocycle-type mounts from vendors and chests. Drop chances are low, often around 1 to 2 percent per kill, so expect to repeat the dungeon weekly. Operation Mechagon hard mode mount hunters should aim to clear every boss each lockout.
Mechagon Mount Run: How Often
A mechagon mount run works best once a week per character. Alts multiply your attempts, and each one also collects Azerite and sprockets. Running a full cycle on three characters gives you far more rolls than camping one.
Mechagon Keystone
The Mechagon keystone comes from the Mythic+ rotation, not from this run. Mechagon was split into Junkyard and Workshop variants for keys, and each has its own timer, so do not mix up the two when planning a push.

Is the Operation Mechagon hard mode mount guaranteed?
No. Every boss rolls its own loot table, and mount chances stay low on each kill. Repeating the run weekly is the only way to improve your odds.
Can I do the wow Operation Mechagon dungeon at level 120?
Yes, 120 is the minimum, and a gear level around 400 makes hard mode far more comfortable. Under that, the later bosses can feel punishing.
Should I farm older raids too?
