There's one limitation with common Battle for Azeroth loot system in which only items with lower item level than the ones player already has in the same item slot can be traded.370) and will be able to trade you 99.9%of items they get. The only exceptions are Titanforged items of very high item level increase and Azerite Armor pieces (head, shoulders and chest items)
Antorus heroic boost: what a run looks like from start to finish
A typical Antorus heroic boost clears all 11 bosses in about 90 to 150 minutes, depending on the group and how many wipes happen on Argus. Most groups run it as a single sitting with one short break after the Shatug and F'harg area is done, since the raid is long and the middle section has plenty of trash.
Because the raid is far below current content in 2026, a geared group of level 110 characters usually kills each boss in a few minutes. The longer fights are Aggramar and Argus, and those are the ones where a group's composition matters.
Order of bosses in Antorus
The raid is split into three wings, and the first wing is the only one you must clear in a fixed order. After that you can pick your path. Here is the standard order most groups follow:
- Garothi Worldbreaker
- Felhounds of Sargeras (F'harg and Shatug)
- Antoran High Command (Admiral Svirax among the three commanders)
- Portal Keeper Hasabel
- Eonar the Life-Binder (Essence of Eonar)
- Imonar the Soulhunter
- Kin'garoth
- Varimathras
- The Coven of Shivarra (Noura, Mother of Flames, and her sisters)
- Aggramar
- Argus the Unmaker
The first five bosses can be taken in any order after Garothi, and the second wing opens once Imonar falls. Aggramar and Argus are always last, and Argus only unlocks after the other ten are dead. Skipping around is possible, but a fixed order keeps the loot trades simple.
Antorus the Burning Throne heroic carry: how the loot is shared
In a carry, the group leader and a few geared players do the killing while you stand in the raid and collect drops. With a trade run, anything that drops for you or another player can be traded within the 2 hour window after the kill, as long as the item level rules allow it.
That window matters. If a piece drops and nobody in the raid can use it, it can be passed to another player who needs it. If it drops for you, check the item level before you plan on keeping it, because upgrades are only worth it when they beat what you already wear in that slot.
Personal loot versus trade loot
Personal loot gives each player their own rolls and nothing is shared. Trade loot lets the raid funnel items toward the people who can use them, which tends to give a higher chance of getting a specific piece. If you only want a guaranteed set of upgrades for your spec, look at the Antorus heroic full gear page. If you want to roll on your own, the Antorus heroic personal loot run is the closer match.
Moving up to mythic
Players who already finished heroic often want the mythic version for higher item levels and the 5 pantheon trinket chances. The Antorus mythic loot run covers EU realms, and the Antorus mythic loot run US covers the American ones. Both are harder fights, so the group size and preparation are different from heroic.
What to prepare before the run
- Set your loot specialization to the spec you actually want gear for.
- Clear space in your bags, since 11 bosses can drop 15 or more pieces.
- Check that your trinkets and weapon are not already better than the ilvl range, which tops out at 260.
- Log in about 10 minutes early so the raid invite and group setup go smoothly.
One last point: a boosted kill still counts toward the four achievements, but only if you were inside the raid and in range when each boss died. Stepping out to deal with real life mid-fight can cost you credit, so settle that before you zone in.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does an Antorus heroic boost take?
Most runs finish in about 90 to 150 minutes for all 11 bosses. Argus the Unmaker is the longest fight and can add 10 to 15 minutes if the first attempts fail. Plan for roughly two and a half hours to be safe.
Can I kill the Antorus bosses in any order?
Mostly, yes. Garothi Worldbreaker comes first, and then several bosses open up in parallel, while Aggramar and Argus must come last. Most groups follow the same order so the trades stay organized.
Do I need a geared character for a heroic carry?
No. A level 110 character with an active subscription is enough, since the raid group handles the kills. A better character just makes it easier to know which drops are real upgrades.
Can I get the Argus mount from a heroic carry?
Yes. Blood of the Unmaker drops from Argus on heroic, and it starts the quest that rewards the Kirin Tor Summoning Crystal. The drop is a chance rather than a guarantee, so some players repeat the raid weekly.
What item level will the loot be?
Expect between 225 and 260, with the higher end coming from warforged, titanforged or socketed rolls. Most pieces land closer to the bottom of that range.
