There's one limitation with common Battle for Azeroth loot system in which only items with lower item level than the ones player already has in the same item slot can be traded. 95% of items they get.
Dazar'Alor Alliance: Bosses and Raid Order
On the Alliance side, the raid opens with the siege of the Zandalari capital and runs through 9 bosses across 3 wings. Horde players fight the same encounters from the other side, with a few swapped opening fights. The first boss for Alliance is Champion of the Light, and the last is Lady Jaina Proudmoore, who closes the instance with a naval phase on top of the usual ground fight.
Mythic keeps the same boss list as Normal and Heroic. What changes is the mechanics, the health pools and the loot tier.
Battle for Dazar'Alor Achievements on Mythic
Beyond the faction achievements listed above, Mythic adds the two meta-style titles that most players chase. Ahead of the Curve requires a Jaina kill while she is still current content or in a later season, and Cutting Edge requires the same kill within the original race window, which is long closed. In 2026 only Ahead of the Curve is realistically obtainable, so check the achievement tooltip before planning around Cutting Edge.
Dazar'Alor Raid Loot and Armor
Mythic drops range from about 415 to 430 item level, with the top end coming from later bosses. Armor comes in the four standard types, and each boss has its own loot table with a few shared tokens and trinkets.
Mythic Jaina Loot
Jaina drops a mix of weapons, cloaks and a strong trinket, plus Azerite pieces with the best trait choices of the raid. Her table is small, so a single kill often yields nothing for your spec. That is why many players run her several times.
Transmog Armor Sets
Each class gets a Mythic set recolor, and the Mythic version is the darkest of the four difficulty looks. A Battle of Dazar'alor boost gets you the kills, while a Battle of Dazar'Alor mythic full gear run is aimed at filling every slot in one go.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the raid still worth doing on Mythic in 2026?
Yes, for the mount, the transmogs and the achievements. The gear itself is far below current raid levels, so it will not help your main progression.
What is the difference between Normal and Mythic loot?
Normal tops out near 385 item level in its original form, while Mythic reaches 430. Mythic also carries the exclusive set colors. If you only want the Normal look, a Battle of Dazar'Alor normal full gear run is the cheaper route.
Can I get the G.M.O.D. mount on every difficulty?
The mount drops from the final boss on any difficulty, with a low chance per kill, usually quoted around 1 percent. Mythic gives no better odds, so weekly attempts matter more than the mode.
